Furia Flamenca brings the best team of professionals directly from Madrid to Miami to offer an intensive summer program exclusively designed for girls ages 3 and 9 years old.
The weekly program is from 9am to 3pm and at the end of each week, students show their parents on stage all they have learned. Activities take place in the dance studio and two days of the week in the theater.
Among the activities offered by our program we have: dance, music, singing, acting, crafts, cooking, history and theory of flamenco dance, Spanish culture and theater. All based on the Flamenco art.

Furia Flamenca Brings a unique summer camp programed developed by one of the best flamenco dancers in Spain, MARIA JUNCAL. For this first time in the US this project call “Bailamos Flamenco Kids” will be taught by the original creators, Musicians and Teachers from Spain and the famous Maria Juncal will be taking care of your little stars this summer!
Summer Camp dates : June 16 – Aug. 15, 2014
Hours of operation are : Monday – Friday 9am -3pm.(Full Day) 9am-12pm (half day)
Activities: (See the attached detailed program)
Baile Flamenco, Arts & Craft: create your own custom, singing and corporal expression, acting, music, play an instrument, intro to Ballet, jazz ans street dance, Intro to history of flamenco dance.
We open promptly at 8:30 a.m. You may bring your child to camp between 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. No child should be dropped off before 8:30 a.m. (Extended Care, for an additional fee, is available).
We have an in-studio performance for half day program students: the last Friday of the program at 11:30am
We have an “on stage” performance for full program students: This will be during the weekend and on a real theater.
We do not serve Lunch/Snack. Please make sure your kid get a good breakfast before dropping them off at camp.(For morning session campers) and bring your own lunch and snack for (Full Day Camper)
Please pack a snack for your child. We suggest you follow these guidelines: No sodas or microwave items. Please include an ice pack inside your child’s lunch this will help keep items until the children are able to eat. Lunch must contain a protein, bread, fruit/vegetable, and water/juice
Drop Off and Pick Up Procedure for Your Child
1. When dropping off your child in the mornings you must walk your child to her group and sign in.
2. No child will be allowed to leave group until she has been signed out and an adult is visibly present to escort the child out of the building.
3. Anyone picking up a child must be at least 16 years old and her name must appear on the pick up list. If in case of emergency no one on the pick up list can pick your child up, you may contact the office with the name of the person who will pick your child up.
4. Extended Care Available: Before and after camp care is available. This service provides additional morning and afternoon care for campers already enrolled. Camps ending before 4pm are eligible for only one hour extended care. Campers get to choose from supervised activities including cards, drawing/coloring, and age-appropriate movies.
What to Wear:
Ballet/Jazz Outfit: Tights and ballet slipper.
Flamenco Outfit: Flamenco Shoes and Skirt (optional: we offer Shoes and skirts for sale in our Coral Gables Studio) Flamenco Shoes $40/Flamenco Skirt $65
Please Bring them a pair of comfortable black pants (not jeans) for the rest of our classes
